Is this presented as a negative? Why wouldnt they do that if they knew he was leaving?

Kenny also chides NJPW for trying to make a new version of him when they should have let everybody be themselves.

Assuming hes talking about Jay, in what was is Jay similar to Kenny outside of the fact that they are both white? I cant really think of two wrestlers that perform in different ways. Outside of like, pure comedy guys. Their promos are different, their in ring work is different, their personas are different.
