Elon Musk Previews What He'll Do With Twitter: Serve Up His Employees for the Far Right's Racist Abuse

The point is that free speech is not some static 200 year old agreed upon principle. It is constantly being argued and reassessed in the courts and in society. I believe this person is pointing out some obvious things, like terrorism and child pornography. Under the strictest of free speech principles, there should be no censoring of that speech (not talking about showing images of kids), just speech.

Assuming we all agree that shouldn’t be on Twitter (or anywhere), then we’re right back to what we have now a person, persons or AI eliminating some content off the platform. Just someone else making that decision now. As soon as you make even one rule limiting what people say, you are no different than what is currently happening (on all sites) from a functional perspective.

You can however market yourself as more permissive or less permissive site for whatever content. But it’s never free speech.
