Elon Musk unveils solar roof with textured glass titles that look like traditional roofing tiles.

This isn't true. Jobs had the exact same business model, which is why Apple produced so many loyal fans, just like Elon is now.

Apple's first iPhone was as revolutionary for mobile devices as the Tesla was for cars. They also had revolutionary supply chain and distribution models, just like Elon is doing with Tesla.

Tesla is very much being dressed up by professionals. Electric cars and solar panels have been around for a very long time, he's doing exactly what Jobs did, taking an existing product which nobody really cared about and making people care about it, by making it fashionable.

As Tesla makes more money, you can be sure that more and more money is going to be invested into window dressing, just like Apple did.

Apple products also marketed themselves in their inception, as Apple got richer and built up such a huge fanbase they started to get lazy.

We will have to wait and see if history repeats itself for Elon's businesses. To me this just looks like early Apple all over again.
