After years of insomnia and self medicating with everything from muscle relaxants to alcohol Ambien CR is a Godsend. It is a medically necassary drug for many and if you have never used it is really bizarre. I use Ambien CR actually because regular Ambien would put me to sleep for 30 minutes and then I would wake up wide awake for the rest of the night. It doesn't make you drowsy really, you can stay up late while on it but when you do decide to go to bed it will keep you out.

What is crazy to me is that it keeps you out for exactly 8 hours from when you take it. If you take it at 9 and go to bed at 11 you will wake up almost exactly at 5 with no drowsiness. If you wake up even 15 minutes before the 8 hours you are not going to remember getting ready for work that morning.

My main point of posting is to say that it isn't a "Hollywood housewife" drug. It is an amazing tool for people that will lie awake all night thinking of the next day if they don't have it. Elon strikes me as that type of person.
