Emasculation of Men & Rise of Feminism in Mormonism

1993 was a long time ago. I can agree in the sense that BKP came from a time when the church was more androcentric. But that time has passed. Right now today those attitudes are not reflected at the local level, even if they still exist somewhat among leadership. The church is even pulling out of boy scouts now.

Also, it's important to recognize that there are many flavors of feminism. First through fourth waves and all that. I am not suggesting that the modern church is in alignment with, say, Lena Dunham's vision of the world. One of the recurring problems in discussions like this is that words such as feminism tend to get treated to a No True Scotsman fallacy.

OW and Kate Kelly aren't really a good examples either IMO. KK was and is a nutjob. Even the exmo community can't stand her. From within the church women don't care about access to the priesthood. This has been widely surveyed and the response each time has been overwhelming, around 90% say they aren't interested.
