I think there is actually a fair point to be made there. But I don't know who the original comment is referring to because I haven't actually seen anyone criticize her for wearing revealing clothing, so I can't speak for them.

There is no shortage of feminists who roundly criticize women being sexualized on TV and in movies, specifically in the fact that they are often scantily clad. I don't think it's a stretch to say, if you have a problem with women wearing revealing clothing on TV, then embracing that same fashion for yourself would be a bit contradictory. I don't think Emma has ever made that point, but I do think the opposition to women wearing revealing fashion in the media is pretty heavily linked to the image of purple hair and androgynous clothing among feminists.
