Emos of the early 2000's, what are you guys doing now?

Probably started the whole thing in about '06, early 7th grade. Currently a student studying Animation and Game Development. I work 2 jobs, one at the university model production lab, and a corprate one at Comcast as a media editor. Haven't changed too much to be honest. Still wear all black everything (had a phase in 10th grade where I tried dressing "normal" for a few weeks), Most of my jeans are still the ones I wore in highschool, Black boots, slim fit shirts, the works. Still have my gauges, actually stretching them out more now, and getting more tattoos once the cash is there. My music choice changed a bit, went from stuff like Bullet for my Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold, Three days grace, To loving Folk Metal; Tengger Cavalry, Korpiklaani, Alestorm. Don't have a problem with the old stuff though and appreciate listening to it every now and then.

The biggest change was my attitude really. Used to self harm, isolate myself, post whiny Facebook statuses every other day, lots of drama, thinking being edgy was cool. Hell, even tried offing myself. Christ, I'm cringing while writing this. It took a lot of time and alot of self awareness, but I learned to get help for most the issues and get my shit together, mature up a bit. Still got issues, hell, far more than I had then, but learned to cope better. One of the big eye-openers was running across people my current age (21) who still act, dress, and expect the world to act like it did in highschool. It helped me look at myself from an outside perspective and see what I was REALLY doing. Yeah, fuck that shit.

TL;DR: Was a cringey emo kid, grew up a bit, now a (somewhat) functional emo dude.
