Employers who offer low wages complain so much about lack of employees.

I highly disagree with this common blanket statement "If you want more money, learn a skill"! Why? Because the ability to pay your living expenses should not be based on if you've previously devoted time and money to learn a skill or not. A livable wage should be a given, then yes, if you want more, climb the ladder. Learning a skill takes money and time. You need to be able to have a living before you can put such into developing a skill - which people cannot do on minimum wage. I would love to have the amount of faith you have in the government to think enough people are getting unemployment benefits to stay afloat and that's preventing them from working. That is not at all realistic.
