Actually in this rate circumstance it's better to be unemployed for the short term so... Maybe not. This might be minimum wage employees greatest opportunity since there will be substantially fewer poachers and they are considered much more vital due to the quarantine. It might not be pretty but I am all for a strike to raise minimum wage. It's a much better move than sending temporary wage increase since that won't last forever and it isn't sustainable. We should put the weight on the backs of the companies. Which might collapse our economy but if we've built a system wherein businesses can't affordably pay their employees liveable wages, then what are we doing here? We might as well let it collapse and risk everything for the small chance at creating a society where someone can happily be a grocer and still get by.
