Obviously I had the experience, but that's not what makes a significant difference in resource management approach. I had the same approach on my first account.

All a new player needs is to ask on discrod or here in help megathread to understand what units are worth to pull for and use https://ffootip.com/forecast to foresee the upcoming banners and plan pulls. I rely on what players who play JP version of the game say, it's not something that can be based on my past experience.

The experience only gives understanding that all weapons will come back later, and much later they will have better value rate per ticket or gem (e.g. we had one LD per banner and now we have two). But even that can be expected (predicted rationally) or asked.

In other words I disagree with your statement that new players don't have huge opportunities to save.

We have different amount of resource mostly because some players enjoy to spend some resources on almost every banner and some players enjoy to save. Everyone is free to prefer the approach they enjoy the most. It's a game after all.
