I have encountered a few public situations in Toronto where it feels like people are mocking me and its driving me crazy to the point where I think about becoming hostile towards the person- am I paranoid? am i over reacting? is this a North American thing? please help..

i agree with you 100%. i don't want to make a scene. i DON'T make a scene. my issue and concern is that IMO, this was a targeted, intentional attack on me and my partner... so i just sit there and take it? they make me feel like shit and I do nothing about it? what gives them the right to do that? because they did that to me, why can't i do something back? two wrongs don't make a right- an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. yes i agree with all those things... BUT, how long does this type of behaviour go unchecked for... i believe (again IMO), because people don't cause a scene and retaliate, people think that it's OK for them to keep pulling this kind of crap.
