Encryption Has Never Been More Essential—or Threatened

Wait a little more.... maybe one day the government might end up with the idea of installing a cctv camera in your home and public toilets. It is still owned by facebook...and even if they say whatsapp chats are E2E encrypted, facebook just might have the keys to decode those messages. The worse part about whatsapp is that...apart from whatsapp itself...unknown contacts can see our phone numbers. If a friend adds us to an unknown group...each member can see your phone number. Also, there’s nothing such as ‘Do you want to join this group?’ permission...anyone can add you to any chatgroup without even asking you. They have the rights to call you without seeking your permission.

Oh well, at least I convinced 5 of my friends to shift to telegram (secret chat). Even if telegram does not provides encryption by default.... Users can still use secret chat which provides E2E encryption. Phone numbers can be hidden and to chat with someone...and it is us users who decide who can add us to a group and who can’t...this applies to telegram voice calling as well.
