End of an Era

I don't think you are understanding.

A) Black people aren't the only people with face tattoos. Why did Bill single out them as having face tattoos?

He was talking about the black community? Why wouldn't he list it as a problem with getting a job? Is it not a fact? If you asked me why Chinese have difficulty getting a job I would say because they have difficulty with the English language. Other races certainty would have difficulty with other languages but we are talking specifically about Chinese. This is another example of how white people are not allowed to talk about race.

B) How does a small percentage of a population having face tattoos mean that whole population is difficult to employ?

There is a gap between white success and black success. What is causing that gap. Bill O'Reilly has mentioned two factors. Are there more? Absolutely but he only named two. He didn't say they were the only two....just two.

Why are we even talking about this extremely small and specific group? Why is he focusing on black people with face tattoos, and why is face tattoos the first thing he thinks of when considering employing black people.

I do find it interest that you are not discussing his statements on being ill-educated. Have you conceded that point? All three of your "nuances" have been the same damn thing.

What I and those like me are fighting for is our right to have an opinion without being shouted down as racist. If I think that black people must take personal responsibility for some of their shortcomings I shouldn't be raked across the coals as many like Bill O'Reilly are.

I went to high school in a traditional southern black school. It was my towns attempt at de-segregation. It was a very rough school and I learned a lot about myself. It accelerated my understanding of what is racism is and what isn't. What Bill O'Reilly said was NOT racism. He was merely commenting on race. You don't like what he says so you conveniently lump it in with racism. You don't get to do that. You don't get to assume based on "nuance" what someone is REALLY trying to say. That's bullshit.
