my god rouge one sucked. this video makes the contrast so clear. in ro all the soldiers are all gritty and personal. all the set design is so moody and stupid. look at what happens when they switch over to a new hope: its not some retarded character study, making the viewer understand and empathize with every single character. its more like a historical documentary where there are only a few important characters and one really important plot and the details sort of get left out. nobody cares about the contorted faces of soldiers as they are sabered. the old star wars played like an epic poem and the new star wars (and all these shitty movies nowadays) play like a television show. and my god look at the set design. going from ro to anh is like taking a breath of fresh air and drinking a nice cold glass of water. theres no unnecessary moodiness or whatever. i cant put my finger exactly on it but jesus its so much better.

what is the point of RO? its a band of unlikable characters who are doing something that doesnt matter who all die in the end. its fucking retarded. and they splice in all these cringey, forced jokes everywhere and its annoying. call me cynical but the new star wars movies are an disgrace.
