I enjoy the map wasteland, but everyone in the game thought this goal was some BS.

There are no "bad bounces" on Wasteland. The floor on Wasteland is not flat. It's as simple as that. Bounces on Wasteland's floor are every bit as predictable as they are on maps with flat ground. On flat ground, a ball bouncing a few feet outside of the goal is going to, well, bounce a few feet outside of the goal. On Wasteland, where the ground is sloped inward to the center of the goal, this is no longer true. Since the ground is sloped towards the center of the goal, balls are going to bounce, uh, more towards the center of the goal, so the previously mentioned ball that would normally bounce just wide of the goal is now going to bounce, shocker, into the goal.

Literally this exact thing happened to me just earlier today. I was playing a 1v1 on Wasteland, the opponent lobbed the ball up towards my net but I read it in the air as going wide right. The ball bounced on a trajectory to go wide right, but when it hit the ground it bounced a bit left and went in the goal. You know what I did? I didn't save the replay so I could post a gif of the "bullshit" goal on reddit and complain about it. I said to myself "Oh, right, sloped ground, I forgot". Then I removed my palm from my forehead after watching the hilarious replay and continued on with the game. It took me exactly one instance of this bounce for me to make a mental of this behavior and start adapting. Is it going to happen again and burn me? Oh probably another couple of times. But that's how you learn. This particular quirk of Wasteland is incredibly easy to adapt to.

You have not voiced a logical opposition to the map. You have simply stated that you aren't willing to adapt to a map that is barely any different than a standard map. I understand that it can be frustrating to feel like you're starting to figure out how things work on a standard map only to have Wasteland thrown on you and suddenly you're back to square one but only on that one map. But whining about it isn't a good attitude. Wasteland isn't even that interesting of a map. It's a bit more curvy and the floor is tilted inward. That's all. Rocket League isn't even a year old. People who are new to Rocket League today won't even remember a time when Wasteland wasn't considered a standard map. They will notice the differences when they first encounter it and adapt. Be like them.

Have you seen the Rocket Labs maps? Wasteland is a downright standard map compared to what's coming. Professional teams have already started practicing the Rocket Labs maps and we've already seen them played in professional level tournaments. I highly suggest you change your attitude, learn to adapt, and roll with it because the so called "non-standard" maps are here to stay. It won't be long until the "standard" maps are just the most boring maps. Rocket League is a physics based sport. The best players are not going to be the ones who simply memorize how the ball bounces off flat surfaces. They're the ones who learn how the physics engine works and practice manipulating their cars at every conceivable angle so as to effectively control the ball in any conceivable map.
