I have never in my life given an English person less chances than anyone else I meet, because the people are not the state.

Unfortunately, I've had plenty of interactions with English people where they quickly show their shockingly ingrained dislike of Ireland and Irish people, who have said and done some shocking things.

Loads of English friends who are lovely fellas though, some people are just cunts. I also get really pissed off when English people take the piss out of Ireland/Irish people if they're not my mates though. I really can't help it, try as I must.

I started a fight with an English guy I worked with in Germany once, because every time I introduced myself as Irish he'd step in and say "actually he's Northern Irish".

And every time I said I was from Derry he'd say "No he's from Londonderry"

I've got plenty of mates who make those sort of jokes and it's all fun but it wasn't playfully at all with this guy.

One night we were out ice skating and we met a few girls, then went out for a bite to eat with them after. When I said I was from Derry to them he did the line in his usual condescending voice and gave me the most smug look I've ever seen. I just snapped and leapt for him lol, last time he ever tried to correct my nationality!
