We have entered the next stage: It is now BTC versus USD for the title of World Reserve Currency. Both the US President & US Treasury Secretary have said so this week.

Its not very sought after right now, in terms of global economics its barely a drop in the bucket. There is no way it will become more sought after just because its regulated, that's not really how things work at all. This isn't like drugs. This is a financial instrument, and with too much regulation businesses will not adopt it, and consumers will not use it as a result. Unfortunately, the version of reality you want to be in does not exist. The way you kill bitcoin is through indirect regulation of it. You cut off peoples ability to obtain it, then you cut off their ability to use it. The second part is already a thing with cap. gain taxes and the IRS ramping up their training material to target tax-evading crypto users, which will be just about everyone that's decided to purchase a service or good with bitcoin, or exchange bitcoin for fiat. You disagree, but its already happening.
