Enterprise car rentals had my mother arrested twice for the same incident.

Would the fact that this is brought in two separate county courts matter? I am not a lawyer (nor have I been to law school) and most of my legal knowledge is related to civil courts, but I believe there are exceptions to double jeopardy when multiple courts have jurisdiction and they bring separate charges. It's come up sometimes in regards to hate crimes, particularly during the Civil Rights Movement. And there was a guy who was acquitted of murder but re-tried and convicted under the UCMJ as he'd been in the military at the time the crimes were committed.

So my question is, would the fact that these charges are being brought by two separate counties circumvent double jeopardy regardless of how far the case has progressed?
