Yeah her whole outlook is insanely misguided. I guess maybe she's had so much trauma that she can't get over that the idea of someone even making her laugh, without asking permission first, is like heat to a burn victim.

Its art for people with brain damage, and I mean that very literally and not as an insult. If she's not severely delusional (I'm guessing she is) then I have to disagree with Nick that the special is "honest" or not cynical. The whole overweight 40 year old "I'm in my prime" thing is obviously bullshit but it's safe for her to say and that's why she's saying it, anybody who calls her out on it is just a bully and we currently live in a culture where bullying of any kind is looked down upon and in some cases illegal.
