[EP3 SPOILERS] What if Rachel was the bad influence on Chloe?

After seeing the bracelet on frank, hearing how Nathan and Stella and other students at Blackwell talk about her, seeing the letter about the mystery man she met and left Chloe for, hearing the trucker describe her as a gold digger and only caring about herself belong with the (fake people in LA) implying that she is fake, and seeing the photos and letters in franks RV. I gotta say I don't see what people see/saw in Rachel, perhaps she looked like the best of all worlds - Blackwell partier, 4.0 student, skater, Chloe's SO. But now we're finding out she lied to Chloe and possibly to Frank too and is deceiving people. Despite Frank's actions I think he's a bit misunderstood, he's a 'subsistence drug dealer' (lol) - meaning he has bigger plans - and looks like he really admired Rachel and held onto her and treasured in his shitstorm of struggles and was abandoned for the sake of Rachel's own discomfort or 'more important' goals like getting to LA. Frank's situation is similar to how Rachel saved Chloe's life in her darkest and loneliest of times, listened to and agreed with all of Chloe's dreams of a better life in LA, and left her out to dry with only a letter - confused in an unstable emotional state with only memories and what ifs/would'ves (like when Chloe talked about Rachel loving the pool if she was there) - only further suggesting she's bad with confrontation.

Now I'm gonna be honest and say I struggle with confrontation myself. I'm just awkward. But this is only the case with strangers and those I don't really know that well. If it's someone I truly care about I will pour my heart out to them without a problem or tell them assertively and confidently how I feel knowing they will take the time to listen to me. This makes me think that Rachel is shallow and cold and either sees them as strangers or pawns in her road to success and fame and doesn't want to 'waste' her time and energy telling them the hard truth and dealing with the consequences/feelings or doesn't care about Chloe and Frank enough to tell them she's leaving in person.

Chloe and Frank were both hit hard by Rachel left with only notes like you talked about. (sorry to reiterate what I said in the last paragraph) I find eye contact or at least irl contact when talking about something like breaking up or leaving is essential and I will admire the person whether or not things end terribly because they had the balls and care enough about me to look me in the eyes and say how they feel.

So because of this perhaps I am biased in my observation of Rachel leaving a letter instead of face to face contact and I want to note that Im not trying to witch hunt Rachel or be shallow myself and call her a cold detached person before we even meet her. It's just with the destruction she's left in her wake upon the people and the good image she left for the Blackwell partiers/assholes like Nathan she seems selfish and deceiving. I personally would not want to be close to her after seeing what she did to people such as Chloe and Frank who gave her all their love and what little they had to offer. I was sick when I saw the picture of her dancing in Frank's RV while still leading Chloe on like that (even though Max is kind of doing the same thing to Warren :( - poor guy). I'm definitely excited to learn more about her character though, I want to be proven wrong and for all the good things said about her to be true and not her lies or a fake persona and for her to really be missing and not kicking it in LA or something; because I feel that would be the end of Chloe's hope for people loving her for real if she learned that Rachel really had left on her own accord and she put all the work of putting up all the missing posters and worrying - feeling so sad and alone - while she was on the beach with another SO...even though if I see blue hair Chloe again in the original timeline I'm going to hug my moniter and tell her "everything's gonna be okay bb girl Maxine's never gonna leave you." :)

TL;DR : I agree and had my suspicions of her being a bad influence and not being the godess that people say she is and possibly a selfish gold digger from the moment I heard Stella say she had a sexual relationship with Mr. Jefferson that have only been intensified with descriptions of her in episode 2 & 3.
