Equality is an illusion

This sounds like a complaint framed in the context of people who are presumed undeserving receiving benefits from society.

This ignores several important built-in facts of our economic system:

1) Progress in technology has made many forms of labor obsolete. Those put out of work from this progress are suffering not from laziness, but from a lack of demand because large sections of the labor force are no longer needed to produce the same amount of goods.

2) Expressions of discontent in the public are not because of a lack of equality, but because of a presence of extreme wealth in the face of desperation. It is clear that there is enough for everyone, but the system seems to be designed for the benefit of the rich only.

3) UBI is not designed to institute equality, but to counteract the unending flow of wealth to the top so that the rest of society isn't starved of the necessary capital to continue engaging in commerce.

The trends are clear. The rich get richer. If the trend is allowed to continue forever, eventually the biggest fish will eat everything smaller, and we'll all be servants of a global King, the wealthiest person in the world. They will own everything - land, factories, government. And you will live here by their permission only, you low-iq, unambitious peasant!

You know how I know you're a low-iq, unambitious peasant? Because you're not the king. Duh.
