i get that, but its plainly patronizing to attempt to point to the girls defense mechanism and simply say “shes traumatized, shes fearful,” etc when its literally 2 seconds of her life that youve gotten a glimpse into. again, it looks more to me like shes shielding herself from any potential incoming debris, which is has nothing to do with being traumatized or any assumptions into her past or mental health. i personally watched one of my sisters get beaten pretty pretty harshly for something, as it turned out, that she didnt even do. shes grown up to be a wonderfully strong and resilient woman, despite her trauma. people handle their shit differently, its not fair in the slightest to assume you understand how or why they handle their shit the way they do.
