Eric Ripert: We Shouldn't Be Proud of Chefs Who Are Screaming In The Kitchen

I’ve been rewatching Hells Kitchen lately and seasons 1-10, Gordon was SUCH a bastard. The amount of times he calls people fat is ridiculous, men and women. And he does it so much that literally the other contestants start to notice and they feel comfortable doing it themselves. It literally is monkey see monkey do. I don’t understand how people can see this and not come to the realization that men in power who act like this inspire other douche bags to act like this.

Oh, and it’s so funny how right around 2015, Gordon’s entire image did a 180. Go back and watch early hells kitchens. Go watch how fast minorities got kicked out to give pretty white girls second and third chances. It happens all the fucking time. Now Gordon is like “oh I helped nas x cook the lamb sauce! Hot ones and memes boys!”

It’s also hilarious because he blames the contestants for him failing his own job, the pass. If contestants serve food undercooked, he’s supposed to notice when he stuffs his fingers inside every FUCKING dish that leaves that kitchen, which he always does, but can’t notice when something is raw. Then he brings it back and like mashes it into his hands like “IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT” like no shit dude you’re fucking squishing jt. Ugh. I could go on for hours but be really is the fakest fuck on tv.
