what is an “LA sex club???” sounds like something erika would claim to frequent to signal her ~open expression of sexuality~ but in reality, she went once and left immediately. i often think of the moment last season where they’re asking denise how a happy ending works for a woman and erika says with such confidence(+disdain that her prudish castmates don’t know) “they perform oral” and denise is just like no?? erika’s whole sexual persona seems to be contrived in such a way that makes me think she’s trying to bury or distance herself from sexual trauma that she’s incapable of actually confronting. which is probably why she was quite okay being married to someone as old as Tom for so long
