Escaping reality

Playing video games should be a free time hobby and not an escape from reality.

Sure its healthy to play them but if you feel like its not working for you (hence why you're here) then maybe its time to change the game a little.

I say that not only talking about video games but whatever else you might currently feel confused about.

My suggestion is to get out, adventure and spend as much time with friends as possible.

Get out can be as simple as just going for a walk around the neighborhood to clear your head.

Adventure as in going somewhere you've never been. To other cities or maybe camping somewhere.

Friends will always make you feel better when times are rough. Talk with them if you need to. You dont need a random internet stranger to give you advice on how to feel better. Your friends know you better than anyone.

We're not here forever and time doesn't stop for anyone.

One of my favorite quotes from Neil DeGrasse Tyson is:

"I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you."

On having a family, it seems you have a little twisted way at looking at it.

You can still do whatever you like when you have a family but theres also a little more responsibility involved and thats just a part of life.

Sure not everyone likes paying bills and whatnot but its something we have to do. You can still play video games while married with children, just have your priorities in line and all will be fine.

Live and learn.

Forgive and forget.

Just have fun.

When you stop having fun, then whats the point?

Do what makes you happy. Nothing is more important.
