ESL sold the rights to stream to Facebook, their official stream has 2-3k viewers. This is the highest viewer English stream at 23k viewers.

To be honest, Dota 2 is dying hard, you won't see a single thread about it on their subreddit because it's quite a touchy topic and they get really angry about it, but the viewership has been tanking hard, even tournaments can't fill stadiums anymore. And the player base has been on a steady decline. I'd attribute it to pro's having little to no personality, having pretty much no involvement with the community and the fact that there were so many roster swaps that it was hard to give a fuck about any team. I think that's one of the reasons CSGO stays relevant even though it's a game that barely gets updated, the pros have big personalities and they're very engaging with the community. 90% of Dota 2 pros are these hunchback pale kids that stammer through interviews and hate streaming, being on camera, even fucking tweeting.
