I want basketball to come back, I think players can use the platform of sports to spread a message (i.e. I do not think returning to play will necessarily distract from or diminish the movements for racial justice), and on top of all that I’m a Lakers fan and Bronsexual who desperately wants to see my favorite team and player win another title this year, but all that being said I totally get Dwights position and I admire that he’s making his voice heard instead of just going with the flow. It is rare to see celebrities actually vouch for things that might lose themselves money, so good on him for sticking to his guns. Plus who am I to tell a black guy the right or wrong way to fight against racial injustice. Can’t really be mad at Dwight here at all.
