You understand that the comp pick is based on his future contract, playoff success and usage? If he gets injured and misses time for a 4th consecutive year, he is absolutely not getting a large contract from a new team, which he would need for us to get a 3rd round pick.
Again. If he gets a contract similar to the other recent star running backs I just mentioned, it is highly unlikely that nets a 3rd round comp pick in 2 years. You have no logical standpoint, you’re just saying “he’s good, he’ll get a 3rd” when that’s not how comp picks work.
