Essential oils for COPD or asthma?

My son has mild asthma and I've started giving him various supplements/foods that have practically eliminated his symptoms (we still have to get out inhaler when he gets a cold).

He takes fish oil, probiotics, and zyrtec daily. Do not skimp on the cheap probiotics. I recommend for helping build up the health of your gut/immune system. Also fermented foods, kombucha, or apple cider vinegar. For apple cider vinegar make sure it contains "the mother," and dilute two tablespoons with a glass of water 3x a day.

When he starts to show signs of asthma I give him Magnesium Glycinate. It is harder to find then other Magnesiums but there is one variety of CALM that contains this form. Turmeric, and again, don't go cheap. It must contain 95% circuminoids and bioprene. Pineapple: the core contains the most bromelain.
I take a pineapple, skin it, four organic lemons with peels, some water, blend it in the food ninja and put through fine strainer. He drinks this before bed.

Research has also been done on the positive effects of Whey Protein and COQ10, but I haven't tried it with son because he is only 12.
