I'm a white woman who has dated men of all races. My current partner is Chinese and my long term boyfriend before him was white. I have matched with a lot of asian men when I was single (and white men), partly because I lived in Seoul for a while and also in Australia.

One thing I noticed was that every Asian man I matched with would ask 1. If I've dated an Asian man before 2. If I'm only into Asian men - basically checking if I'm weird about it or something, like some kpop obsessed woman who will only date Asian guys. I interpreted this like there was some discomfort coming from them and maybe they had had bad earlier experiences. I get that but it did make me less inclined to swipe right to Asian men because I started to feel a bit unsure what to say.

Anyway maybe I misinterpreted not sure, and if they've had uncomfortable past dating experiences with white women then I can't blame them for bringing up race quickly.
