EU Approves Landmark Legislation to Regulate Apple and Other Big Tech Firms

Nothing in this report talks about platform fees, so, companies should not get excited about cutting out Apple/Google’s 15-30%.

Companies in general should rarely be "excited" about EU leglislation because it's almost always build to protect EU citizen rights. So where you see the big lawsuits in the US from companies like Epic as well as political pushback against store frees, getting 3rd party payment systems is probably as good as it's going to get in the EU.

I think you're going to see hefty taxation laws in place before you see anything done about the store fees, because the fees aren't really anti-competetive when you can have 3rd party stores and 3rd party payment systems.
