EU belittles U.S. claims as 'frankly childish' at WTO Airbus hearing

One wonders how both the residents of the UK and the US can be both at once passionate about their respective political issues that have dominated the news-cycle, and yet still be terribly cynical about their political process.

I've had I think three Brits who mentioned about their desire for greater democratic representation and wanted the UK to leave the EU (two blamed the EU, one outright only blamed their politicians, I won't name names), and all thought UK politics was a sham. Same for Americans. Even the one Trump supporter who railed about the EU being some 'globalist authoritarian regime' in comparison to the US thought the US wasn't a democracy, only some kind of oligarchy.

Even I'm not that devoid of hope.
