EU votes to force all phones to use same charger by 2024

As an iPhone user, this news is just meh. Like I don’t actually care. I literally only charge my phone once a day and could manage only once every 2 days (iPhone 13 pro max) and the main charger I use is a Fast-charge capable 96W USB-C Power Adapter that I use for my MacBook Pro 14, AirPods Pro 2, Apple Watch 5, iPhone 13 PM and even my Apple TV remote.

Cables i use with this power adapter are:

MBP: usb c to square magnetic thing for fast charging.

AirPods Pro 2: usb c to lightning.

Apple Watch 5: usb c to circle magnetic charger.

iPhone 13 PM: usb c to lightning.

Apple TV remote: usb c to lightning.

I also just very recently bought a Bellini 3 in 1 charger that fast chargers my iPhone 13 PM via MagSafe, AirPods via wireless and Apple Watch too. So as of yesterday, I no longer use any cables to charger any of my daily devices and will only need to use my usb c to lighting cable to charger my Apple TV remote.

for me, usb c on future iPhones will only make backing up up old phone and restoring to a new iPhone faster due to the speed increases compared to lighting but the only reason why I do a full encrypted iPhone back up to my MacBook like that is so on a new iPhone, I don’t have to re do all my banking apps as my main bank is proper strict and last time I had to go into the bank and get them to sort it all out for me and it took ages.
