Europe’s Jew-Hating Virus

The only two clearly antisemitic form a weird simbiosis though, with the political Left and Right fuelling each other, as the situation in PL/H etc is fuelled by the fact that it’s talked about much more in media, despite being much more theoretic - there are few Jews in Poland, but millions of tourists due to Auschwitz location. And neither those tourists or the few Jewish synagogoues get attacked. 24/7 police protection, dedicated patrols are not needed and the Israeli embassy is the least protected I’e ever seen. While in France attacks are common, many syngagoues have 24/7 police protection etc. So people in Poland get mad that they are made to be antisemitic scapegoats, despite Poland being saffer and immigrant crimes in the West are hushed up. And not only immigrant, as the far right sy Germany is also raising it’s head. Of course the antisemits blame Jews for a global agenda and get even more antisemitic. I remember an article last year in some really well known paper, that shocked even me. Aboutrising anti-semitism in Poland. Illustrated with a cemetary shockingly vandalised with many swastikas... taken in... France. A few years prior, but you would only know that if you did a reversed Google Image search. So it can make people mad, especially as many see Poland-bashing everywhere (and it is also somewhat true, though to a much smaller extent). The immigrants, also do so as the media and governemnts turn a blind eye to them. But I must say that as a Jewish-American expat, I have only been scared to visit a synagogue during my travels and it was in southern France and had heavily armed police protecting it. In Warsaw, Poland where I currently lived I’ve never seen any downright hate, though the far right internet warriors can be annoying, but their texts are just pitiful. Hungary scares me a bit, as there the Jew bashing is done by the government itself, while Poland’s, especially after the unfortunate Holocaust law, decided rather to no critisizm, and of course is being called Jews by the far right for that. A bit twisted.
