Europol launches "Crime has no gender" campaign to highlight most wanted women

The article also links to this interesting study about female participation in crime.

Most mainstream campaigns about "gender gaps" seem to focus on prestigious fields where women are underrepresented, such as STEM fields, so it's interesting to see a campaign that highlights the other extreme of the spectrum and confronts us with the underacknowledged existence of "bad women".

It is a bit unclear to me what the motives behind this campaign are though, reading through that press release and being a bit cynical, it seems more like a publicity stunt to attract the eyeballs of woke people interested in "gender gaps" to their Most Wanted list.

I'm just leaving this out there to see if anyone has an interesting take on it.
