Even if kratom appears to be helping a patient, medical professionals are often fearful of publicly supporting a patient's use of it because supporting a drug that is not officially approved by the FDA, could sadly lose them credibility, their jobs, or their licenses if something bad were to happen.

Alcoholic and depressed person here. Close family said the effect krarom had on me was amazing. I switched strains and I think I reacted negatively to it. It is tough because it's unregulated....I have no idea if it's the strain or something in it.

But doctors are almost no help for all the reasons you mention. Half of their hands are tied. Half are actual idiots who are good test takers with rich parents. All of them have to abide by the government's boards and guidelines which are sadly bought and paid for by Big Pharma. We have the best medical tech in history being run by people who have to either pretend they are stupid or actually are.

But there are independent practices popping up because the situation is so bad. Support them. I am calling one Monday because a hospital screwed me over twice in getting help with my addiction. Just gave me huge doses of drugs and sent me on my way with no knowledge of half lives or how long it takes to detox an alcoholic. When you ask you get a blank stare and a canned line about joining a 1930s era cult. In a US hospital in 2019.

And that will cost you 5 grand, please.

It's pathetic. But we are the dangerous weirdos for trying krarom.
