Even if there is a God, it is definitely not religion's God so there is nothing to be agnostic about

I don't believe one either but I still find question of God valid, for example if this reality is a simulation made by an entity whose nature is unlike anything here, that entity would be the answer to "question of God". If an entity arranged laws of physics in the right order to allow for universe to exist, that entity would be the answer to "question of God". If we find out universe came out of nothing by itself, laws of physics were arranged all by itself etc. then the answer to "question of God" is that, there isn't a God.

Also I don't see what "necessary" is? Universe is also not necessary but there is a universe. So arguing over necessity wouldn't change the truth and truth is either there is a God or there isn't.

If you logically conclude universe is unnecessary, it won't magically puff out of existence.
