Is it even possible to have PTSD without trauma?

People also need to be careful of the word "trauma". For me, my ptsd was caused by 11 years of daily abuse(which still continued after that), but it wasn't until I was in a bad accident that it actually kicked in. That's the thing about ptsd, is that it's a survival function in relation to anxiety, but technically it's not just the "anxiety" portion. At the very least it sounds like you are not in the best state. If you have ptsd, or any other issue similar to it, I always recommend therapy to anyone. At least 7 lessons with a good therapist to get the full effect, because you want to adjust your brain so that it's in a less negative state and your cortisol gets reduced.
