Is it even worth getting my drivers license?

I think it is worth having a "drivers license" vs "photo id. I don't know where you live, or plan to live for life, but in looking for jobs, I have seen discrimination against people who do not have a drivers license in parts of the U.S. where driving is common. Some temp agencies would not hire people who did not have a drivers license and rode the bus as they where considered less dependable for getting to work on time. So even though I will never drive a car, and due to seizures my license would be invalid at the moment, I have a drivers license. If you have any questions about safety I would not drive. I drove for years with absence seizures from TLE before I was diagnosed and I never knew I was a risk to people on the road. I even caused a crash that know that I know was from an absence seizure that I wish I could undo but even the urgent care doctor failed to recognize the description of a seizure and I went for several more years before finally going directly to a neurologist after my spouse saw me have one in front of her.
