Events that killed all desire for you to continue a game?

Playing Code Vein and enjoying it. It has these items you need to get to unlock classes, with the cutoff points being bosses. If you get them all you get one type of class, you don't you get another. Some stuff in the game requires you to have all of one type or the other.

So I'm in one of the later zones, an ice mountain for people familiar, and gather up all the class items I can find as usual. I get to the place to turn them in and am one short, but I have wall-hugged every square inch of the fucking mountain to find them so I figure it must be a unique case and just keep going. Kill the boss... Hey congrats you get the non-item class! This one, contrary to every single other fucking instance of these items in the game, was not in the corresponding zone but was 50% of the game back in a random fucker sewer. So now, if I want to do everything, I have to do an entire extra fucking playthrough just to fix this one mistake.

Dropped that game in a fucking heartbeat. Permanently missables are already trash game design, but ones where I have no fucking chance unless I want to glue myself to a walkthrough the entire time completely obliterate any desire I have to actually play the game.
