I obsess about certain subjects like you wouldn't believe. First were the transformers, from around 5 years old to 6 or 7, then lego star wars and pokemon in 2nd and 3rd grade, then i really got into football cards from 4th grade to about 7th grade, to the point that i would spend countless hours looking through old baseball and football cards that had been given to me, learning about all the different players and which were the rare cards. Video games began to take over at this point, and i began to research into computer parts and how to build a pc, and what are the best pc parts, etc. I have always had an affinity for certain subjects such as astronomy, computers, and physics over other subjects, and i love learning about such subjects and asking questions. I have certain movies which i will repeatedly watch to an insane degree, such as lord of the rings, the star wars prequels (disney star wars sucks lol), and Christopher nolan's batman movies. In short, i have come to the logical conclusion that i obsess over certain subjects because i would rather spend my time intensely learning about a certain subject of interest, rather than having a broadened focus on an array of random subjects. I also prefer doing things that i find interesting, rather than doing things that most people would consider "fun", such as going to the beach or a concert. I find such pursuits pointless and a waste of time imo, although i do enjoy competitive physical activity such as football and basketball.
