Have you ever been challenged for a fight by egomaniacs?

My brother on boxing day about five years ago. He had about 20 beers in him that night and always had a violent temper. Very mad at the world attitude too, and he enjoys starting fights (I've seen him do it many times).

He spent the whole night trying to get me to fight him. At one point, he stood up from the table at the pizza place we were at screaming every horrible thing imaginable at me, and clenching his fists. I jumped out of my seat into a back stance and thought "damn, I might be about to knock my brother out". Then he just took off.

Unfortunately, we were staying at the same house and I couldn't get a hotel. After that incident, we separated and took separate cabs back. I went to bed and locked the door. He starts immediately pounding on my bedroom door screaming. I warned him to go away or I would call the cops. He keeps doing it, so I called them. Parents were furious with me for calling the cops. I was very clear with them that it was my judgment call, not theirs. Brother and I have not had a relationship since then, and never will again.

Wow, typing that out was very cathartic.
