Have you ever been to a village or town in the UK that gave you the creeps?

Took a a group of students to Wales for a school trip. Sat in a cafe somewhere near Caernarfon Castle and some guy started doing the most unsubtle sidling up to my table I've even seen. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or feel really uncomfortable as he scooby do creeped over to me so obviously looking at the walls, the ceiling, anywhere but at me. I picked up my purse and phone from the table and put it into my bag all the time looking straight at him with a pretty blatant 'the fuck are you doing' look on my face. I'm not a good poker player. At which point he just stopped inches from me and sauntered out again ever so casually. The other I assume locals were watching the entertainment and not being so great at being stared at, we left. At which point we were jeered at by a group of men who started shouting at us to 'fuck off back to Cornwall'. We left. Not to Cornwall though.

Caernarfon is a beautiful place, I'd highly recommend it. Apart from the people who didn't want our tourist money. So sorry?
