Have you ever had to do CPR in public on a stranger?

This increasingly specific question is a bit odd. First of all people don’t necessarily do cpr on just strangers. Also not all cpr is done in public. Lastly violence and cpr aren’t necessarily linked in anyway. Just because a car gets stolen doesn’t mean cpr is needed. Likewise if someone is shot and you do end up doing cpr, first off all you are putting yourself in a position to get shot because of the safety of the situation. But secondly what that person needs isn’t cpr. They need blood and a surgeon. It’s like trying to use a car without gas. It’s still a car and will roll but without gas it’s just a really heavy hot wheel. As far as all the other hero’s in here that are giving advice without clearly no experience. If you have to do cpr. Just pump the chest. Hard and fast. To the best of stayin alive. If wherever you are has an aed slap that on them. Don’t put your mouth on anyone else’s. Your adrenaline will be pumping hard and you are more likely to fuck up with more things you have to do. Also the medics will be there within minutes you aren’t gonna be doing this all the way to the hospital. The reality is that if someone needs cpr there’s like 1% chance they are going to have pulse return. This is still an archaic skill that has really only been widely taught for about 50 years. We are literally just beating on people chests. It’s gonna be interesting to see what the future of healthcare looks like. Hopefully 200 years from now we aren’t still hunched over dead people like have men singing Bee Gees songs.
