Last summer over 1000 Hamas supporters held a race riot on City Hall property. Hundreds of violent racist rioters attacked 5 Christian Israel supporters who were peacefully, non-violently, non-provocative in any way, silently standing across the street with a few small Israeli flags. Observers were quoted in the newspaper as saying they called 911 immediately after the Hamas supporters went on the attack and began beating, drop kicking, strangling, knocking out teeth and breaking bones of the tiny group of Israel supporting defenseless victims which included elderly and women, it took over 15 minutes for the first police car to show up to a location less than 100 meters from City Hall and Police Headquarters.

No explanation was ever offered by the Calgary Police for the 15 minute delay in showing up, although rumors have it that the Calgary Police, long a bastion of racism and antisemitism, felt "the Israeli supporters deserved to be taught a lesson".

Then several weeks later at a event organized by Israel supporters, Hamas supporters can be seen, on youtube videos so you can see it with your own eyes, chanting "Heil Hitler" and "We love Hitler" and giving the pro-Israel demonstration Nazi salutes while being protected by a solid line of dozens of Calgary police officers who did nothing.

Sure you say, that was the Hamas supporters freedom of speech to yell "Hiel Hitler" at Jews and I agree with you. Even offensive speech is protected in Canada under our constitution.

But just 6 months later, this past spring, at a supposed "anti-racism" rally some lone nutcase was randomly riding by on his bike and apparently for a joke yelled out "White Power" and for that use of free speech as protected in the Charter of Rights was chased down by Calgary Police who then attempted to murder him by shooting him.

Never in my life have I been more pleased that the cowardly scumbag former Calgary Police Chief Rick Hanson lost his election to be an MLA in the election, since it was he who was responsible for the Police at the time of both the mysterious never explained 15 minute delay in rescuing the Israeli supporting victims of the Hamas rioters beating last summer and also the chasing down and shooting in broad daylight of the guy for the non-crime of yelling "White Power" this spring.
