Have you ever had a *personal* photo of you posted as revenge online? How did you find out?

Yes. 2 years ago my phone got hacked by some people on 4chan. I don't think it was any exes (I only have one ex and he doesn't even know what 4chan is) but I suspect its some guys from school who think I'm cute or something. They posted my social media accounts on 4chan and were able to hack my phone. The 4chan guys made a fake FB account and sent me a message saying they'll post it all over FB if I don't send more nudes, I didn't reply of course and just blocked them. They hacked my facebook and posted my nude as a profile picture. I was so incredibly upset for a long time, eventually one of my friends was able to chat and convince the hackers to give back my facebook (after like a month). My friend deleted my FB for me. At the time there was another person who was a friend of a facebook friend who sent me a message saying they saw what they were planning on 4chan and wanted to warn me, (I don'tk know this person) so I kind of appreciated that.

Last year someone (not sure if its the same person or a 4channer from the thread) made a fake profile of me with the nude as profile on facebook twice (several months apart) and messaged me on new facebook again. I just blocked and reported them and the profile is swiftly deleted.

A few months ago I found where my nudes are posted, a ex-gf porn site. I tried contacting the site several times to take them down because I was 17 at the time but they never got back to me. It took some real digging to find that site though.

Now I feel like I don't really care that much. The nude was just topless and nowadays people don't really care about breasts. I mean, women posts their breasts on IG now so if someone does find it it'll be no big deal.

TLDR: 4chan sucks
