Do you ever meet someone and think "wow, if we had met at a different time, we would have made a great couple?"

You're going to get a lot of hate from people who are probably younger and less mature and don't understand that it is entirely possible to love more than one person, and to have human failings and weaknesses, but in the end to be a man of commitment and stay with your spouse and family instead of just running off. Or maybe they just got lucky in life and only ever known one love and can't relate to your situation, so they'll cast aspersions from their ivory towers for karma. Or maybe they are just paragons of perfect purity for which the rest of us can only aspire to look up to. In any case, Internet Stranger, know that at least one other dude out there 'gets it' and understands. You will think of this woman the rest of your life and wonder 'what if,' but, had you left it all for her, you would also have dreamed 'what if' had you stayed with love #1. It's normal to feel this way, but stop and appreciate what you have, and not spend too much time on 'what if.'
