Have you ever pretended to change your political views for a job?

I find these responses atypical. You spend 40+ hours for however many years with people, obviously politics comes up.

If your workplace is unionized, if your funding comes from the government (schools & hospitals & the military are MAJOR employers), you'll be discussing politics on a mechanical, professional level if nothing else.

...if your politics are so extreme that they offend the people you see every day, you might want to re-examine A) where you've chosen to work or B) these apparently toxic views of yours.

...My own response is probably atypical in that I've worked for literal 501c4 holding "political" organizations. So my politics are right there on my resume. My employers are previously aware before they hire me.
