Have you ever quit a job, without another lined up, for you mental health? How did it turn out?

I worked at a shitty restaurant for two years. One night, one of the adult sons of the owners was on chef duty and he took his fuck-ups out on everyone else in the staff. He started in on me, and I told him that I'd contact the labor board. He threatened me, and I quit. He tried to act nice when I walked out, and I told him to get away and not to touch me. Eventually, my girlfriend at the time picked me up.

Without a job, I felt like less of a person, honestly. But leaving a toxic job like that, I felt so free. Some of my girlfriend's friends were letting me know about how she bragged about how our sex was better after quitting that job, and fuck-fucking-damn if I didn't smile.

Life is finite. You'll become happier. You'll become stronger, too. You'll slap your body against your partner's ass, and you're both going to love that.
