Have you ever refrained from suing someone when, in retrospect, you should have?

Not sure if I should have. But, I was once turned away from a jeweler’s shop because I seemed suspicious. I was trying to get a few links off a Swiss watch my parents had bought me and walked in with jeans and a jogger’s jacket. He sized me up and asked me to leave because he couldn’t confirm if I had bought the watch or not. I said I can pay with card if he’d like but he said he didn’t want to serve someone who looked like they came from the slums. I was 17 at the time so I wasn’t sure how to approach the situation so I just left because I didn’t want to start trouble. Always wondered if I should’ve told my parents or tried to fight that case some.

The store closed down two years later.
